    • Beekeeping pipe or smoker (smoking device) to reduce the willingness of the bees to bite, for example when the beekeeper intervenes in the colony.
    • Gedrahtete frames and center walls
    • Chisel for separating the frames from one another and loosening the honeycombs from the frames
    • Honeycomb lifter or honeycomb tongs (metal hooks for removing the honeycombs from the frames)
    • Sweeping brooms or (earlier) also goose wings, for sweeping the bees from the honeycomb, for example when removing honey
    • Barrier to lock out the queen bee from the honey room
    • Hive scales (weighing device), for determining and monitoring the changes in weight of a bee colony (" foraging observation ")
  • the migration of the bee colonies in their different costumes
    • Hiking straps, for securing during transport
    • Hook-on handles for the straps to carry the hives or hand truck to move the hives
  • honey extraction and processing
    • Honey extractor (centrifuge) to extract honey from the honeycomb
    • Honey sieve, to hold back mainly wax particles and
    • Decap knife or fork deheader the guard cover filled with honeycomb removing
    • Refractometer , for measuring the water content of the honey still in the honeycomb
    • Filling can with a pinch tap
    • Storage containers, food-safe made of stainless steel or PE ( polyethylene )
    • temperature-controlled warming box or warming cabinet, for gentle heating (liquefying, max. 40 ° C) of the honey when filling into jars
    • Stirring rod (by hand) or stirring device (very slow speed) to prevent coarse crystallization
  • the queen breeding
    • Umlarv spoon for moving one to two day bee larvae into queen cells (wells)
