Inchgalbraith is an island in Loch Lomond .

history

Inchgalbraith is, as its name suggests, associated with the Galbraith clan and was one of the clan's fortresses. The remains of the clan's old castle can still be visited today. It's probably a crannóg .

geography

The island is on the west bank of Loch Lomond, two miles south-east of Luss . At its highest point, it is around eight meters high.

fauna

Was Inchgalbraith to 1869 a hotbed of ospreys .
