The Incite GmbH develops and markets since 2003, the industry-independent information and knowledge management software. The company, based in Sins ( Aargau , AG), is run by the brothers Marc and Ivan Huber. In May 2016, she won the IT innovation prize for particularly innovative IT solutions with high benefits for medium-sized companies at CeBIT in Hanover with her knowledge platform.

Incite is knowledge management software and is used to easily capture and find information of all kinds. The usability was based on Microsoft Word and Windows Explorer. The web application runs in all common browsers and is therefore independent of location.

The data is transmitted using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and is a hybrid encryption protocol for secure data transmission on the Internet. This encryption is also used by banks in the e-banking sector. The client identifies itself on the server with a certificate.
Widgets
Every customer needs different document types to map his processes. These types are configured with individual puzzle pieces, the so-called widgets, in order to achieve the desired functionality. A news document e.g. B. consists of the widgets "Editor" for the news text, "Files" for attachments and "Notification" so that employees receive a message. The basic structure, the view and the operation are always the same for an employee with these widgets and offer unlimited expandability and individual combinations. A selection of possible widgets: text editor, metadata, policy, subscription, experts, rating, files, history, read receipt, news, archive, link list, comments, tasks, feedback, blog, own fields, message, authorization, notification, ticket, workflow , Contact, etc.
Design and layout
The basic layout with banners, navigation, areas and registers can be customized. The separation of layout and content offers the advantage that the design can be put together according to the “corporate identity” with various predefined themes and individual CSS styles. Thanks to its responsive design, the wiki application can be easily operated and administered on any device such as desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile.

The knowledge management software "Incite" is based on the technologies HTML5, JavaScript and CSS without plugins. The data is saved in the background in a Microsoft SQL Server. All common browsers such as Chrome, IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Edge are supported. "Incite" is a "Single Page Application" and consists of a single HTML document whose content is dynamically reloaded. As a result, waiting times can be reduced and the flow of presentations in the client is not stopped. With switchable SSL encryption, information can be transmitted safely and easily.
