from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The indusium griseum ("gray veil") is a thin layer of gray substance that is located immediately dorsal to the corpus callosum . It belongs to the archipallium , so it represents a phylogenetically old part of the cerebrum. The indusium griseum is thickened on both sides by longitudinal bulges, which are known as striae longitudinales medialis and lateralis . The Indusium griseum is part of the hippocampal formation .
