Infarct network

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An infarct network represents a concept in which the treatment of preclinical and clinical therapy for patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is networked.

The aim of the therapy is the fastest possible freedom from symptoms and proper blood flow in the coronary arteries. In an infarct network, the treatment of a heart attack patient is organized more clearly in order to save time and to achieve the highest possible healing success.

Decision tree

One possible process is that the emergency doctor diagnoses an ACS based on the symptoms and the ECG , a 12-lead ECG is transmitted by telemetry to the nearest cardiological center with emergency PTCA readiness, the cardiologist on duty at the clinic assesses the ECG and If necessary, recommends that the emergency doctor administer a GP-IIb-IIIa antagonist ( abciximab ) and other medication as well as immediate transport to the clinic. At the same time, preparations are made in the clinic for the PTCA, which the infarct patient receives as soon as possible on arrival at the clinic, if necessary with ongoing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
