Info BUG

The Info BUG was a left-wing weekly magazine, which from 1974 to 1977 in Berlin was released. A total of 179 issues were published.

The magazine Info BUG (Berlin Undogmatic Groups) dealt with the ideas of the undogmatic opposition left and published reports, opinions, dates and classifieds. The topic of “armed resistance” and terrorism was also given a lot of space. The publication was created by changing editorial groups. Info BUG was published in Berlin, but it was also distributed across regions. The magazine was published in A4 format, the print run was up to 3000 copies, the price 0.50 DM.

The magazine, its staff and the printing company soon became the target of law enforcement. In April 1975 the magazine was confiscated for the first time at some sales outlets. Issues that were seized included numbers 49, 51, 52, 79, 80, 105, 114, 115, 117, 121, 123, 143b, 145, 147, 151, 153, 157, 158, 177 and 178 In February 1977, sentences followed for denigrating the state and its symbols . The magazine was officially discontinued with the number 179 after the printing house of the magazine (AGIT-Druck) was occupied by the state security on October 17, 1977 . The AGIT printers were arrested on charges of supporting a terrorist organization and sentenced to 9 to 13 months' imprisonment without parole. For a while, scattered remnants of the editorial team published underground editions, almost every edition of which was subject to a confiscation order.
