Right to information
The right to information is defined as:
- the basic right to be able to obtain information or the right to be able to request information about certain processes from public authorities, see freedom of information and freedom of recipients
- In general, the right to be able to request inspection of documents ( inspection of files ) or information from a public body or from another, in particular in an administrative procedure or in a process
- the right of journalists to obtain information from authorities under press law
- the right of an authority to information from the citizen, for example in tax proceedings or environmental law
- in labor law, the works council's right to be informed by the employer
- Another name for the field of IT law , information technology law
