The federal health reporting information system is an online database that collects important information from the health sector. The system is operated by the Federal Statistical Office . It can be used for free.

Functions

Currently (November 2004 ) over 800 million numbers and indicators in the form of tables form the core of the information system. The data come from around 110 different sources, including many surveys by the statistical offices of the federal and state governments, but also surveys by numerous other institutions in the health sector.

The data offered is constantly being expanded and updated. The data sources are documented according to survey characteristics, methodologies and contact persons.

There is no direct access to the data because the access to the underlying data sources is encapsulated by the web portal .
