Innovation award from the district of Göttingen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Göttingen district innovation award has been advertised annually since 2001.

Every year we are looking for innovative products, procedures, services, processes, business ideas or good ideas from the education, research and science sectors. In the three categories "Founders and young entrepreneurs", "Applicants up to 20 employees" and "Applicants over 20 employees", the prizes are awarded, which are endowed with up to 3000 euros. The three best innovations will also win a sculpture by the Göttingen artist Christian Jankowski . There are also special prizes in the fields of science, education, the environment and in the field of measurement technology.

All innovation contributions are judged by an expert jury on the basis of the innovation criteria. The jury consists of representatives from different departments. The jury, which changes annually, is usually represented by the Lower Saxony Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Climate Protection, the Hanover Chamber of Commerce, the DRK district association Göttingen-Northeim eV, the Sparkasse Göttingen, the HAWK - Faculty of Resource Management, the Lower Saxony Innovation Center GmbH, the Chamber of Crafts Hildesheim - South Lower Saxony, the Employers' Association Mitte eV, EAM GmbH & Co. KG as well as the University of Göttingen and the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry. It often happens that the jury includes top-class scientists and Nobel Prize winners.
