Innsbruck informed is the official organ of the Innsbruck city council, which has been published by the city of Innsbruck since 1934. For the first four decades - from the first edition on December 15, 1934 to the end of 1975 - the communication appeared under the title Official Journal . From 1940 to 1946 the official journal was closed. From April 1951 it was noted on the front page that the sheet was available from the town hall porter for 1.50 schillings. An annual subscription cost 14 schillings at that time.

In 1976 the name was changed to Innsbruck - the official bulletin of the state capital . From then on, the newspaper was sent to households in Innsbruck by post free of charge. In 1980 the name was changed in Innsbruck City News . From January 1992 the city news appeared in a new design. In January 1994 they were discontinued in accordance with a municipal council resolution of November 1993.

The (second) reintroduction took place in September 1995 with a new design and under a new name: From 1997, Innsbruck was informed with a circulation of 108,088 copies also sent to households in the Innsbruck area. Since September 2010, after a relaunch , Innsbruck has been published with a circulation of 75,000 and goes to all households in the Innsbruck city area.
