Institute for Forming Technology Lüdenscheid
The Institute for Metal Forming Technology (IFU) in Lüdenscheid , with its full name Institute for Metal Forming Technology of the Mittelständische Wirtschaft GmbH , is a privately organized institute for scientific and technical advice, especially for the small iron industry, and was originally intended primarily for the Lüdenscheid area and the surrounding area. The institute itself is located in the Grünewald district and is directly adjacent to the city center and Knapp districts .
The IFU is an affiliated institute of the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences .
The sponsoring company currently (June 2007) consists of 46 companies and associations, including the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences.
