Instituto Nacional de Estatística (Portugal)
The Instituto Nacional de Estatística ( INE ) is the Portuguese statistical institute . Among other things, it is responsible for conducting the census . The INE was created in 1935 from the Direcção-Geral de Estatística . The institute is currently housed in buildings in the Areeiro freguesia (municipality) in Lisbon .
