The Instituto de Jubilaciones y Pensiones Civiles , formerly also known as the Banco de Previsión Social , is a building in the Uruguayan capital of Montevideo .

The office building, built in 1937, is located in the Barrio Cordón on Calle Colonia 1851-1881 and Eduardo Acevedo , Mercedes and Avenida Daniel Fernández Crespo . Beltrán Arbeleche and Miguel Canale were responsible as architects . The building, which is not far from the new headquarters of the Banco de Previsión Social , has been classified as a Bien de Interés Municipal since 1995 .
