Integrated stock exchange trading and information system

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Integrated Exchange Trading and Information System (IBIS 2) was a system for electronic securities trading operated from May 4, 1991 to November 27, 1997 , which existed alongside the BOSS system for floor trading. The trading hours were from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The access to IBIS 2 was operated by credit institutions, course brokers and independent brokers. The system allowed the full-day trading (trading hours on the trading floor at the time was 3 hours 10:30 to 13:30) with the 30 most actively traded German shares ( DAX values) and around 20 bonds of the public sector . The system was replaced on November 28, 1997 by the Xetra , which still exists today . Courses from the IBIS system have been given the addition "(IB)".

Before that there was already another information system that had the same abbreviation (Inter-Bank Information System = IBIS).
