Inter-Info

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Inter-Info was an art project organized in 1993 by the Slovenian artist Branko Smon at the Stuttgart TV tower , consisting of three ropes with numerous red windsocks. They should illustrate the global importance of telecommunications . The art project began on May 12, 1993. However, due to turbulence, these sacks only hung in the wind as desired for the first few days. Most of the time they were wrapped around the tethers due to turbulence. As a result, some windsocks were damaged over the course of time and it was decided to terminate Inter-Info prematurely in July 1993 after only two months.

Some remains of the cloth sacks could be seen in the treetops near the Stuttgart TV tower until 2002.
