Association of German Internet interests

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The German Internet Association (IDI) is an information and protection community for Internet users in Germany and, as a sponsor of non-profit Internet projects, is committed to consumer protection .

history

The association was originally founded in early 1996 as an editorial information portal for the Internet and a little later developed into a service for consumer protection. In 2001 it was registered as a registered association at the Munich District Court under VR 17344. As main members, experts and companies support the work of the association through active assistance.

deals

All German Internet users have the option of registering as a free member directly on the Internet (as of mid-2010: 18,448 members). For questions of any kind, this entitles you to obtain free help via the mail hotlines or to actively work on projects.

People who do not have Internet access can also arrange for the entry by fax or post. Entry by third parties is generally not permitted (exception for supervisory relationships ).

Since its inception, the association has answered inquiries to an average of more than 10,000 citizens per year free of charge and provided assistance with consumer harassment through voluntary employees.
