Intermediate bodies

Intermediate bodies are all the political actors who act as links between society and the political system . These include:

Intermediate bodies help integrate citizens into the political system. Citizens are informed on the one hand (e.g. via the media), but are also given the opportunity to actively participate (e.g. through a party). Without intermediary bodies, no political decision-making process would take place (cf. Fritz Scharpf ).
