International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics
The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics ( ICRISAT ) is an international research institution that was founded in 1972. The aim is to improve living conditions in the semi-arid tropics of Asia and sub-Saharan Africa through agricultural research. ICRISAT is one of the 15 institutes of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research .
