Annegret Siedel (* 1963 in Berlin ) is a German violinist specializing in baroque and classical music.

Life

Annegret Siedel studied in her hometown Berlin and was the first violinist in the orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin and the Mozarteum Orchestra in Salzburg . She expanded her artistic training with Michael Vogler in Berlin and with Ernst Kovacic in Vienna. She studied baroque violin with Hiro Kurosaki and historical performance practice with Nikolaus Harnoncourt at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.

Annegret Siedel has been giving concerts as a freelance soloist, chamber music partner and concertmaster of orchestras that use historical instruments to perform baroque, classical and romantic music since 1995. Her varied violin repertoire, which is documented by numerous CD and radio recordings, she expands with concerts for viola d'amore and parts for violino piccolo .

She passes on her experiences in teaching at the Hamburg Conservatory, project-related at music colleges and on courses. An enriching experience for her was the American jazz pianist Uri Caine 's cross-over project on Bach's Goldberg Variations .

Concert programs with chamber music also take part in their concert activities. On the one hand there are concerts with the Ensemble Bell'arte Salzburg and on the other hand duo programs - such as with Zvi Meniker (fortepiano), Pieter van Dijk, Francis Jacob and Christian Skobowsky (organ), Hans-Jürgen Schnoor , Brett Leighton and Barbara Maria Willi ( Harpsichord), as well as with Margit Schultheiß (baroque harp and organ) and Michael Freimuth (lute and classical guitar).
