Hiro Kurosaki

Hiro Kurosaki (* 1959 in Tokyo ) is an Austrian violinist and university professor of Japanese origin.

Life

When Hiro Kurosaki was seven years old, his family moved to Vienna . Here he completed violin studies with Franz Samohyl (1912–1999) and attended master classes with Nathan Milstein , among other things . He also studied architecture and art history. Hiro Kurosaki was one of the prizewinners at the Henryk Wieniawski violin competition in Poznan and at the Fritz Kreisler Competition in Vienna, and then gave concerts with numerous important national and international orchestras and conductors.

He has been involved with the baroque violin for many years and has performed concertmaster assignments at Les Arts Florissants , the Clemencic Consort and the Cappella Coloniensis , among others . Once a year there is a “Clemencic Consort Concert” with Hiro Kurosaki as violin soloist in the Vienna Musikverein . He also appears at many European baroque and early music festivals.

For many years, Hiro Kurosaki has devoted himself to the training of young musicians, he has or had teaching positions for baroque violin and historical performance practice at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna , at the University of Music Karlsruhe , currently he has a professorship at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and on Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid .
