Nuria Rial
Núria Rial (* 1975 in Manresa , Catalonia , Spain ) is a Catalan soprano who specializes in baroque music .
Life
Until 1995 Núria Rial studied singing and piano at the Municipal Conservatory of Music in Barcelona and completed both subjects with a diploma. From 1998 to 2002 she was a member of Kurt Widmer's concert class at the Music Academy of the City of Basel (Music Academy) , where she received the soloist diploma.
Nuria Rial has emerged in recent years through her concert activities and her recordings of early music ( renaissance and baroque music). Her repertoire also includes Mozart parts as well as German, French and Spanish songs, especially from Romanticism and Impressionism .
Nuria Rial won the ECHO Klassik 2009 as Young Artist of the Year - Singing and the ECHO Klassik 2012 for Opera Recording of the Year ( Opera Arias & Duets) for the Telemann recording : Opera Arias .
