International Society for Ecology and Culture

The International Society for Ecology and Culture (ISEC) ( International Society for Ecology and Culture ) was founded by Helena Norberg-Hodge and received the Right Livelihood Award in 1986 . The organization is non-profit and is dedicated to the protection and preservation of biological and cultural diversity on earth. The starting point was the activity in Ladakh since 1975. The organization is now active in over a dozen countries. The 'Ancient Futures Network' tries to bring together people from all over the world who want to preserve their culture in the face of increasing globalization .
