International Decade of Action "Water - Source of Life"

The UN General Assembly has declared the years 2005 to 2015 the International Decade of Action “Water - Source of Life” . The decade began on World Water Day , March 22nd, 2005. Its goal is a stronger focus on water-related issues and the implementation of corresponding programs and projects. One focus is on the inclusion of women in these processes.

The motto of the international decade of action from 2011 to 2020 is “ biological diversity ”.
