The Internet Party (English for Internet Party ) is a political party in New Zealand , which was founded in March 2014 by Kim Dotcom .

The party entered the New Zealand parliamentary election on September 20, 2014 for the first time in an electoral alliance with the Mana Party . The electoral alliance received 26,539 votes (1.26%), but no seat in parliament. Party founder Dotcom, who was unable to run as a candidate for parliament due to a lack of New Zealand citizenship, supported the party with a total of $ 3.5 million , the largest party donation by an individual in New Zealand history.
