The Investitionsbank Sachsen-Anhalt (IB) is the state development institute of the state of Saxony-Anhalt for the distribution of public funds with credit programs, based in Magdeburg. These funding programs are available for entrepreneurs, private individuals and public customers. The focus of business activity is business development, municipal financing, housing construction subsidies, the promotion of culture, education and the media, tourism as well as agricultural and environmental subsidies.

history

In 1991 the Lower Saxony state trustee offices in Saxony-Anhalt started their work. The first funding programs were in the fields of agriculture, housing and urban development, as well as business. In January 1993, all funding tasks were then bundled in the state funding institute, and in 2004 the Sachsen-Anhalt investment bank began its work as an institution under public law within the Norddeutsche Landesbank . In 2015, the IB had 2,492 approvals (in 2014 there were 5983) with a funding volume of 226 million euros (2014 it was 424 million euros).

tasks

The IB has been the central funding institution for Saxony-Anhalt since 2004. There are several lending options for corporate, private and public customers. In addition to promoting companies, financing for private residential property is also offered.

Private individuals, entrepreneurs and public customers are informed about funding programs, loans and guarantees via the investment bank's hotline. Several times a month there are counseling offers in the regions.

In addition to performing fiduciary tasks as an approval body for the state of Saxony-Anhalt in the issuing of guarantees, grants and promotional loans, IB also offers promotional loans and guarantees that are refinanced on the capital market or through other promotional banks.
