As Irene Church were or three buildings are in the former Constantinople Opel (now Istanbul)

  • especially the Hagia Irene in the city center, the oldest church in Constantinople
  • another Irish church in the former Perama district (today part of Eminönü in Istanbul)
  • a church in Galata (today Karaköy or Beyoğlu) that was built as an Irish church, in the 13th century as San Paolo church and in the 14th century as San Domenico church , which was finally converted into an Arab mosque in the 15th century
