The Irish Cultural Institute ( English : Culture Ireland / Irish : Cultúr Éireann) is an Irish agency whose aim is to promote Irish art and culture abroad.

The Institute was founded on February 23, 2005 by the Irish Minister for the Arts, Sports and Tourism, John O'Donoghue. The institute is based in Dublin . The institute is managed by a board of thirteen members appointed by the minister. The aim of the institute is to forge international cultural contacts and to promote the dissemination and reception of Irish art and culture. To this end, the institute provides Irish artists with funding opportunities. In 2007 the budget was 4.5 million euros. In addition, the institute provides advice to the minister in matters of cultural policy. In March 2006 a strategy paper up to 2010 was drawn up in which the broad lines of the institute's cultural policy were defined.
