Ishiyaki

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ishiyaki ( Japanese 石 焼 き ) means " stone grill dish" and is a popular Japanese dish that is eaten in company. Various raw foods such as meat, fish or vegetables are placed on a preheated stone and grilled. The stone stores the heat for up to 45 minutes, depending on the material; the possible grilling time can be increased by using a heat source (e.g. a gas burner) located under the stone.
