Lorenzago di Cadore is a municipality with 556 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian province of Belluno ( Veneto ). It is located 45 km north of Belluno in the Italian Alps and is part of the Cadore valley landscape framed by the Dolomites . The state road SS 52 runs through Lorenzago, which connects the municipality with Friuli via the Mauriapass, eight kilometers away .
Pope John Paul II and his successor Benedict XVI. spent their summer vacations in Lorenzago several times.
