In 1404 Cesiomaggiore became part of the Republic of Venice.
The invasion of the French under Napoleon destroyed the Republic of Venice and Cesiomaggiore was sacked. In the Peace of Campo Formio in 1798, the entire area was transformed into the Kingdom of Lombardy-Veneto and placed under Austrian rule.
In the war against Prussia and Italy in 1866, the region was annexed to the Kingdom of Italy , which was proclaimed in 1861 .
