Mezzano (German outdated: Matzan im Taufers or Mittersdorf ; in the local dialect: Meδàn ) is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1589 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in Trentino in the Trentino-South Tyrol region .

The municipality is located about 60 kilometers east-northeast of Trento in the Comunità di Primiero valley community and borders directly on the province of Belluno ( Veneto ). The community is located on the torrent (Torrente) Cismon .

Mezzano is a member of the I borghi più belli d'Italia association (The Most Beautiful Places in Italy).
