Terre d'Adige is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3,055 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Trento . It belongs to the valley community Comunità Rotaliana-Königsberg .

geography

The village is located about 8 km northwest of Trento in the Adige valley on the southern edge of the embossed wine growing Rotaliana plane at an altitude of 207  m slm In the district Zambana on the orographic left side of the Adige is located, is Nave San Rocco on the right bank . At Zambana the Noce flows into the Adige.

Administrative division

The scattering community consists of the fractions Nave San Rocco, Zambana and Zambana vecchia. Parish seat is Zambana.

history

Terre d'Adige was founded by a municipal reform on January 1, 2019 through the merger of the former municipalities of Zambana and Nave San Rocco.

traffic

The Brenner autobahn A22 , the Brennerbahn and the Brennerstaatsstraße SS12 as well as the Nonstalbahn, to which Zambana is connected with its own train station, run through the municipality . On the right side of the valley, the Strada provinciale SP 235, which has been developed as an expressway, runs through the municipality on the Noce and connects Trento with the Val di Non .
