Attractions

Sights include the Church of Pievana della Natività di Maria in the Varollo fraction, the Church of S. Antonio in Preghena and the Church of S. Martino . The frescoes in the churches are still well preserved. Also worth seeing is the Castello di Zoccolo , first mentioned in 1233 , which is located on a green hill opposite Cis . It was owned by the de Zucolo family from Livo. It was later entrusted to Count Thun . Today the Castello di Zoccolo is just a rural, half-ruined house. The town hall is now housed in the former family seat of the Knights of Aliprandini-Laifenthurn, the Palazzo Aliprandini Laifenthurn , which is also open to visitors for cultural events and exhibitions.
