Dimaro Folgarida is an Italian municipality with 2110 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian province of Trento ( Trentino-Alto Adige region ). It is part of the valley community Comunità della Valle di Sole .

geography

The main town Dimaro is located about 35 kilometers north-northwest of Trento on the orographic right side of the valley in Val di Sole on the northern edge of the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park .

history

The municipality of Dimaro Folgarida was created in 2016 from the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Dimaro and Monclassico .

Administrative division

In addition to Dimaro (municipality seat), the municipality also includes the fractions : Carciato, the winter sports resort Folgarida , Monclassico and Presson.
