Ronchi Valsugana (in Trentino dialect: i Ronchi , German deprecated: Raut or Rautberg ) is an Italian municipality of Trentino in the autonomous region of Trentino-Alto Adige with 457 inhabitants (31 December 2019). The municipality is located about 24 kilometers east of Trento and belongs to the valley community Comunità Valsugana e Tesino .
history
In the Peace of Constance of 1183, the area around Ronchi Valsugana first became known historically. Even at the end of the Middle Ages, the area was mainly populated by people from the German cultural area, as the names of the residents document.
