Borgo Chiese is an Italian municipality with 1994 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian province of Trento ( Trentino-Alto Adige region ). It is part of the valley community Comunità delle Giudicarie .

geography

Borgo Chiese is a scattered community in the Inner Judiciary in the Valle del Chiese through which the Chiese river flows. It borders directly on the province of Brescia in Lombardy . The municipal seat in Condino is about 45 kilometers south-southwest of Trento .

The neighboring municipalities are Castel Condino , Ledro , Pieve di Bono-Prezzo , Storo and Valdaone in Trentino and the municipalities of Bagolino and Breno in the province of Brescia .

history

The municipality of Borgo Chiese was created in 2016 from the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Brione , Cimego and Condino.

The Strada Statale 237 del Caffaro , which connects Brescia with the Valle dei Laghi near Sarche in the municipality of Madruzzo, runs through the municipality .
