Aldeno ( German obsolete Aldein im Lagertal or Alden ) is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3148 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Trento , region of Trentino-South Tyrol .
geography
Aldeno is located about 10 km southwest of the city of Trento on the orographic right side of the Adige Valley at 200 m slm.The place was created on the alluvial cone of the Torrente Arione, which in Aldeno from the deeply eroded Valle degli Inferni, as the lower area of the Ceital is called , occurs and flows into the Adige south of Aldeno .
The municipality of Aldeno borders on the city of Trento to the north and east, that of the municipalities of Cimone and Garniga Terme to the west, Nomi and Pomarolo to the south and the municipality of Besenello to the southeast .
Geographically, Aldeno is already part of the Vallagarina , as the lower section of the Adige Valley is called. Administratively it does not belong to the Vallagarina valley community , but to the intermunicipal administrative cooperation Territorio della Val d'Adige .
