Primiero San Martino di Castrozza is an Italian municipality with 5363 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Trento ( Trentino-Alto Adige region ). It is part of the valley community Comunità di Primiero .
geography
Primiero San Martino di Castrozza is a scattered community in Primiero on the upper reaches of the Cismon . With just over 200 km 2, it is the largest municipality in Trentino and borders directly on the province of Belluno in Veneto . The municipal seat in Fiera di Primiero is about 56 kilometers north-northeast of Trento . The two fractions of Passo Rolle in the north and Transacqua in the south, located on the outermost edge of the municipality, are more than 14 kilometers apart.
The neighboring municipalities are Canal San Bovo , Imer , Mezzano , Moena , Predazzo , Sagron Mis all in Trentino and the Bellunesi municipalities Canale d'Agordo , Cesiomaggiore , Falcade , Gosaldo and Taibon Agordino .

The municipality of Primiero San Martino di Castrozza was created in 2016 from the merger of the previously independent municipalities Fiera di Primiero, Siror , Tonadico and Transacqua .
