Isera is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 2765 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Trento , Trentino-Alto Adige region .

geography

The municipality is located about 25 kilometers south-southwest of Trento in Vallagarina near Rovereto . The Etsch forms the eastern boundary of the municipality. Isera consists of eight fractions : Cornalè, Marano, Reviano, Folaso, Casette, Bordala, Patone and Lenzima.

history

The municipality with the Castel Corno used to be a fief of the von Liechtenstein-Kastelkorn family . The parish church was built in 1183.

Economy and Transport

Marzemino is still planted in this wine-growing region . The Brenner motorway, the Autostrada A22 , runs through the municipality from Modena to the Brenner Pass . However, there is no direct connection.
