Ronzo-Chienis is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 994 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in Trentino in the Trentino-South Tyrol region .

geography

The municipality is located about 23.5 kilometers southwest of Trento in the upper Grestatal and belongs to the valley community Comunità della Vallagarina . The place is bordered in the east by the foothills of Monte Biaena , while in the north the Passo Bordala ( 1250  m slm ) forms the municipal boundary to the municipality of Isera and the direct transition into the Adige Valley . In the west, the municipality borders a little below the Passo Santa Barbara ( 1169  m slm ) on the municipality of Arco . In the north-west, Monte Stivo is the southern part of the Monte Bondone -Monte Stivo group.
