Giovo (formerly also Zovo ; Eng . Jaufen) is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2519 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in Trentino , the autonomous province of Trento.
geography
Giovo is located at the transition from the lower Cembra Valley to the Adige Valley and the Rotaliana plain , about ten kilometers north of Trento . Historically, Giovo is closely related to the municipalities of Faedo and San Michele all'Adige ( Comitatus Zovi et Faedi ). There is no place called Giovo ; the districts of the municipality are Ceola, Masen, Mosana, Palù, Serci, Valternigo, Verla (seat of the town hall), Ville.
