Castelnuovo (in the Trentino dialect: Castarnovo , German outdated: Neuenhaus ) is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1057 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in Trentino in the Trentino-South Tyrol region . The municipality is located about 29 kilometers east-southeast of Trento on the Brenta , belongs to the valley community Comunità Valsugana e Tesino and borders directly on the province of Vicenza .
