Romeno (in the Italian dialect: Romen ; German: Romein ) is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1408 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in Trentino . The community is located about 36 kilometers north of Trento in the Non Valley .

Romeno is the origin of the family name Romen, which is widespread in northern Italy and less often in Austria .
