Grigno (dt. Outdated Grims) is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2136 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Trento in the Trentino-South Tyrol region . The municipality is located about 40 kilometers east-southeast of Trento on the Brenta , belongs to the valley community Comunità Valsugana e Tesino and borders directly on the provinces of Belluno and Vicenza ( Veneto ). The river Grigno of the same name flows into the Brenta here.

history

In the municipality of Grigno, the so-called Riparo Dalmeri is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the Alpine region and in Italy.

traffic

The former Strada Statale 47 della Valsugana runs through the municipality from Padua to Trento. The municipality's small train station is on the Trento – Venice railway line .
