Storo is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 4579 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Trento in the Trentino-Alto Adige region . The municipality is located about 48 kilometers southwest of Trento am Chiese and borders directly on the province of Brescia . Storo is part of the valley community Comunità delle Giudicarie .

history

The places in the municipality are first mentioned in a document between 1000 and 1200. The Count family von Lodron also comes from the municipality , as the name of the district of Lodrone shows.

In the Third Italian War of Independence of 1866 there were battles at Ponte Caffaro and Lodrone, which also affected the municipality.
