Comano Terme (in the local dialect: Comàn ; German obsolete: Komaun ) is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2934 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Trento , Trentino-Alto Adige region . It belongs to the valley community Comunità delle Giudicarie .
geography
The scattered community is located about 17.5 kilometers west-southwest of Trento in the Outer Judiciaries on the orographic right bank of the Sarca , which also forms the northern boundary of the municipality.
Administrative division
The municipality of Comano Terme consists of the 20 fractions Biè, Bono, Campo Lomaso, Cares, Cillà, Comano, Comano Terme, Comighello, Dasindo, Duvredo, Godenzo, Lundo, Poia, Santa Croce, Sesto, Tignerone, Vergonzo, Val Algone, Vigo Lomaso and Villa. The municipal seat is in Comano Terme.
history
Until 2009 there were still two separate municipalities, Lomaso ( Lomaß ) and Bleggio Inferiore ( Niederpless or Niederbletsch ), which merged on January 1, 2010 to form the municipality of Comano Terme .

The state road 237 del Caffaro leads from Brescia to Calavino along the southern bank of the Sarca .
