Borgo Lares is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 712 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Trento ( Trentino-Alto Adige region ). It is part of the valley community Comunità delle Giudicarie .

geography

Borgo Lares is a scattered community in the Inner Judiciary on the orographic right side of the valley of the Sarca river . The municipal seat in Zuclo is about 29 kilometers southwest of Trento .

The neighboring municipalities are Bleggio Superiore , Ledro , Sella Giudicarie , Tione di Trento and Tre Ville .

history

The municipality of Borgo Lares was created in 2016 from the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Bolbeno and Zuclo.
