The community is located about 30 kilometers west-northwest of Trento on the Sarca river in the Val Redena in the Inner Judiciary . It belongs to the valley community Comunità delle Giudicarie . In the west, the municipality in the Adamello group borders on the province of Brescia in Lombardy .

history

According to legend, in Spiazzo Vigilius of Trento was martyred around 405. The parish church of Spiazzo, consecrated after him, was built on the site of the alleged martyrdom .
