Faedo (in the Trentino dialect: Faé , German outdated: Pfaid o. Vaid ) is a fraction of the Italian municipality ( comune ) San Michele all'Adige in the province of Trento , region of Trentino-South Tyrol .

geography

The place is located about 13.5 kilometers north-northeast of Trento on the orographic left side of the Adige Valley at 456  m slm above the Rotaliana plain . To the northeast of Faedo is the Königsberg Castle (Castello di Monreale) .

history

Faedo was an independent parish before 1928 and between 1952 and 2019 and, after 1928, was attached to the parish of San Michele all'Adige for the second time on January 1, 2020.
