The Cembra Valley ( Italian Val di Cembra , German outdated Zimmerstal or Schimmers ) is located in Trentino in Italy and is a left side valley of the Adige Valley . It forms the lowest section of the course of the Avisio and is therefore part of a common valley system with the Val di Fiemme and the Val di Fassa .
The Cembra Valley, characterized by viticulture, ends in the west in the Adige Valley near Lavis . Up the valley, Capriana represents the border to the Fiemme Valley. There are seven communities in the Cembra Valley: Cembra Lisignago , Altavalle , Sover , Segonzano , Lona-Lases , Albiano and Giovo . Organizationally, the Cembra Valley belonged to the Valle dell'Adige district community until the reform of the second administrative level ; Since 2006 the Cembra Valley has formed its own valley community .
The earth pyramids of Segonzano are worth seeing .
In the Cembra Valley, the Müller-Thurgau grape variety reaches its highest degree of distribution in all of Italy.
